Nagaland has a population of 2 million people and considerable natural mineral resources, including 600 MT of crude oil, more than 20 MT of hydrocarbon, 315 MT of coal reserves, and 1,038 MT of limestone reserves. The state offers policy and fiscal incentives for agro-based and forest-based industries, horticulture, food processing, mining, tourism, handlooms and handicrafts sectors.
