STATE
Odisha, with a population of 42 millon, is one of the most mineral-rich states in India. In 2018, it contributed 34.3% of India's minerals. The state produces the largest share of aluminium in the country,with over 55% of India’s bauxite reserves. It is also one of the largest producers of iron and steel in the country. It is the first state in India to have undertaken reform and restructuring initiatives in the power sector.
